03' tail lights on 00'

ive got a 2000 silverado and i was wanting to put 03' silverado taillights on it. has any one done this? i think it will work but im really not sure.

Ive got them on mine. Just gotta do a wee bit of cutting and splicing. looks pretty damn good I think.

go with the 04s though they have that black edging on them

Yes it will work, Only thing is the '03's have 1 extra light I think. Not a biggie though. I just didn't use that hole. I know on my 99gmc I had to modify (hack) the mounting holes a lil, but it works. See sig pic

I just did this to my truck this weekend.All you need is the harnesses.

there is no cutting or splicing. just get the harness for the lights. it plugs and plays

I would recommend the harness they will run you like 20 bucks. If you so use your 3 bulb harness with the new lights, the light sockets(thing that twist into the light and lock) will be dif and you will have to modify your tail lights. just get the harness and do it the right way.

Plus new lamps from GM come with the harnesses anyway.

If you don't want to spend the extra money on the harnesses you can do it this way for a lot cheaper. 3 years on my setup with not a single problem. The size of the tabs on the light sockets are a little different but it's not a big deal.
