    powdercoated wheels

I have a few options im throwing around in my head as far as a wheel/tire combo.

I'm somewhat tight on money and basically have no tread left on my stock tires, and I was thinking about taking my stocker wheels right now and getting them powdercoated black, and putting on some grabber UHPs' on there. Nothing too low profile. I was gonna get them powdercoated black anyway, or at least two of them when I run some 16" slicks in the back. Maybe get everything powdercoated, but leave the center cap off? I dunno though.

I got an offer to buy some 06 17" silverado wheels, but I dont know if I have the money for that right now. Plus I wanna get the posi and gears put in really bad..

Any suggestions/ideas. I definately need new tires and im not sure what to do.

    thanks,
    david

I think you should get them powdercoated all black...that would look awesome. I just found a guy that is selling ss rims off an 03 with tires for 700. I have to find somewhere to powdercoat them, and I'm going black also. BTW, do you have an idea of how much powdercoating costs?

You may just wanna go get some cheap-o tires from a local tire shop for like $150. That will buy you time until you can save up for wheels/tires you really want. I think your truck looks good with the wheel/tire combo as is... If you do end up powdercoating them, it might look a little funky to leave the center cap chrome...IMO...

This guy does some pretty bad ass work and isn't that expensive. He does a lot of VW wheels and bike stuff. I think he is in mesquite.
