I'm looking at doing body work on my truck now the the drivetrain is somewhat solid and done (for now)

I saw a 15lb door set in my summit mag and was wondering if any of you have installed one of these kits?

I'm sure i can do the body work and install, that's not the problem, what about getting the doors open when the key remote goes bad or the battery dies?

    thanks,

    allen

I've heard of a hiding a switch that is wired directly to a power source on the vehicle to activate the silenoid if your remote stops working. Also check out this site below with an emergency entry kit. I was going to let you know that you may want to consider using 50lb. rated silenoids instead of the 15lb. ones you mentioned. I have shaved door handles and I personally wouldn't use less than the 50's from a reputable company.
