    Anyone ever re-gear the front dif?

    Has anyone here ever done this? Im going to be re-gearing the front and rear this xmas and Im sure me and my friend can knock out the rear but Ive never done the front before..Any tips or advice while doing install? Do I need like a GM install kit for the front like the rear does?

    The front is easier than the rear after it's out of the truck.

    Thats the problem, I have to take off half my lift just to get to the dif

    Good, i am a scatter brain sometimes and forget. Gonna do a T-case rebuild too. New chain, bearings, etc... plus the DA that owned it before rounded the drain plug and must JB welded it in there, nothing can break it lose. Gonna have to drill.

    i'm just swapping out the complete diff on mine.
    05 Crew Cab....just starting the mods!
    5.3 w/ Airraid intake tube, stock box with K&N, MBRP 3.5" cat back, Dynatech Longtubes, wait4me tune....to come...4.10's, custom Dyno Tune, maybe a few other goodies.
